Noreva should be sized according to both room width and ceiling height. Smaller configurations work as decorative pendants, while 9 to 13 lights create a more substantial chandelier effect.
Which light count should you choose?
- 1 Light: Kitchen counter, bedside placement, small entry, or as an individual accent pendant.
- 3 Lights: Small foyer, compact stair landing, breakfast area, or smaller round dining table.
- 5 Lights: Standard living room, medium foyer, or dining area where a noticeable cluster is needed without overwhelming the room.
- 7 Lights: Larger living room, foyer, entryway, or open dining space.
- 9 Lights: High ceilings, two-story entries, and medium-to-large stairwells.
- 11 Lights: Large foyers and tall staircases where the fixture needs stronger vertical presence.
- 13 Lights: Large two-story foyers, stairwells, and open high-ceiling living spaces where the chandelier becomes the primary focal point.
Hanging Height by Room
Two-Story Foyer
For most tall entries, position the lowest globe approximately 9–12 ft above the finished floor.
The chandelier should appear centered within the open vertical space when viewed from both the first and second floors.
Staircase / Stairwell
Maintain at least 84" of clearance above all steps, landings, and walking paths.
For tall stairwells, use staggered cable lengths rather than keeping every globe at the same height.
High-Ceiling Living Room
When positioned over a coffee table or fixed seating area, the lowest pendant can generally sit around 7–8 ft above the floor.
Raise it further if people can walk directly underneath.
Round Dining Table
The clustered round composition works particularly well above round dining tables.
Position the lowest globe approximately 30–36" above the tabletop.
For larger round tables, the 5 or 7-light versions usually create better visual proportion than smaller configurations.
Entryway
For standard circulation areas, maintain at least 84" of floor clearance. Taller entryways can use a deeper staggered composition to make better use of the vertical space.
Customizing the Cluster Layout
The adjustable cables allow the pendant arrangement to be customized during installation.
- Compact cluster: Keep the globes relatively close together for standard-height rooms.
- Cascading cluster: Stagger the pendants vertically for foyers and stairwells.
- Asymmetrical composition: Vary individual cable lengths for a more sculptural contemporary look.
- Sloped ceiling installation: Adjust each cable independently so the globes remain vertical while the overall cluster stays visually balanced.
Room Placement Ideas
- Foyer: Use 7–13 lights as a central statement fixture.
- Stairwell: Create a vertical cascade following the open stair volume.
- Living room: Position above a coffee table or central seating arrangement.
- Dining room: Center a 3–7 light configuration above a round dining table.
- Entryway: Use a compact arrangement while maintaining comfortable head clearance.
