Style: Modern Contemporary

Body Material: Aluminum

Lampshade Material:  Aluminum

Item Type:  Ceiling Light, Chandelier, Pendant Light

Installation: Hardwired. Licensed electrician recommended. Mount the canopy to a junction box rated for the fixture weight; the 22 to 30-light versions need a support bracket into ceiling framing and lift access. Two people are needed for clusters of 10 lights and up.

Wire adjustment: Each wire adjusts at the canopy and can be shortened on site. Set and lock every wire length before energizing.

Lighting: Integrated LED, no bulbs to replace. Fixed-color versions use a standard switch; the Remote Control version dims from the remote, so do not add a wall dimmer.

Cleaning: Power off at the breaker. Wipe the tubes with a dry microfiber cloth; for marks, use a lightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive or acidic cleaners on the matte black and gold finishes. For tall installations, clean from a landing or with an extension pole.

Checkups: Re-check the canopy fixing and each wire lock one week after installation, then annually.

Fallen scales by tube count, canopy diameter, and drop length. Ceiling height sets the drop, opening width sets the canopy, and the number of tubes sets the density of the cascade. Then choose the light color or the remote version.

Light count guide (how many tubes do you need):

  • 1 Light, 47.2" (120cm) drop: A single pendant beside a bed, over a console, or in a row of three over a bar.
  • 3 Lights, 7.9" (20cm) canopy, 59.1" (150cm) drop: Round dining tables 36"-42" (91-107cm), small entryways, and 9-10 ft (2.7-3m) ceilings.
  • 6 or 8 Lights, 11.8" (30cm) canopy, 78.7" (200cm) drop: Round tables 42"-54" (107-137cm), single-story stairwells, and entryways with 10-14 ft (3-4.3m) ceilings.
  • 10 or 12 Lights, 15.7" (40cm) canopy, 118.1" (300cm) drop: Two-story stairwells 4-6 ft (1.2-1.8m) wide and foyers with 16-18 ft (4.9-5.5m) ceilings.
  • 15 or 18 Lights, 19.7" (50cm) canopy, 118.1" (300cm) drop: Two-story foyers 8'-10' (2.4-3m) square and stairwells 6 ft+ (1.8m+) wide with 18-20 ft (5.5-6.1m) ceilings.
  • 22 Lights, 19.7" (50cm) canopy, 157.5" (400cm) drop: Three-story stairwells and foyers with 20-24 ft (6.1-7.3m) ceilings.
  • 25 Lights, 23.6" (60cm) canopy, 157.5" (400cm) drop: Wide foyers 10'-12' (3-3.7m) square and hotel lobbies with 20-24 ft (6.1-7.3m) ceilings.
  • 30 Lights, 23.6" (60cm) canopy, 196.9" (500cm) drop: Atriums, commercial lobbies, and stairwells with 24 ft+ (7.3m+) ceilings.

Light color guide (which version to choose):

  • Warm White (3000K): Residential stairwells, foyers, and dining tables; warms the gold tips and suits wood, stone, and cream interiors.
  • White (cool): Commercial lobbies, modern black-and-grey interiors, and spaces where visibility on the stairs matters more than warmth.
  • Remote Control: Dims from the remote; choose it for foyers and living rooms where the cascade is the main light and evening levels matter.
  • Matching: Keep the tubes at the same color temperature as sconces and recessed lights visible from the staircase.

By placement:

  • Staircase / stairwell: 6 to 12 Lights for single- and two-story wells; 15 Lights and up for three-story and wider wells. Center the canopy in the open well, not over the treads.
  • Two-story foyer: 15 to 25 Lights centered in the opening so the stagger reads from the entry and the landing.
  • High-ceiling living room: 10 to 18 Lights over a seating group in rooms with 12 ft+ (3.7m+) ceilings.
  • Round dining table: 3 to 8 Lights at about two-thirds of the table diameter; set the tubes to a shallow stagger so light stays on the table.
  • Entryway (single-story): 3 or 6 Lights with wires shortened to a 36"-48" (91-122cm) drop.
  • Commercial spaces: 22 to 30 Lights in lobbies and atriums, or several 6 to 8 Light clusters in a row along a long space.
  • Sloped ceiling: All sizes mount on angled ceilings; the wires hang vertically.

Hanging height rules by room (practical)

  • Stairwell: Keep the lowest tube at least 7 ft (2.13m) above the treads it hangs over and 6" (15cm) clear of the rail; set the highest tubes near the top third of the well.
  • Foyer: Maintain 7 ft (2.13m) of floor clearance; in two-story spaces, spread the tubes so the cascade's center sits level with the second-floor line.
  • Round dining table: Set the lowest tube 30-36" (76-91cm) above the tabletop with an 8 ft ceiling; add 3" (7.6cm) per additional foot.
  • Living room: Keep the lowest tube 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless it hangs over a table.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

  • Drop calculation: The listed height is the maximum with wires fully extended; every wire shortens on site. The tubes are 19.7" (50cm) long, so the lowest tube's wire plus 19.7" (50cm) sets the bottom of the fixture.
  • Stagger plan: Cut wires to a descending pattern before hanging, following the stair rise; uniform lengths flatten the cascade effect that the fixture is designed for.
  • Proportion check: Keep the canopy diameter under one-third of the stairwell or foyer opening width.
  • Beam direction: Each tube throws a narrow downward beam; over a table, keep the tubes within the table footprint so the pools of light land on the surface, not the floor.
  • Air movement: Fine wires sway near HVAC vents or open doors; keep the canopy 3 ft (0.9m) or more from vents.

A: Graduated spacing between tubes (6-8") creates natural flow mimicking stair progression.

Yes, modular design allows future expansion with professional installation.

Matte black provides consistent appearance while gold accents add depth under both natural and artificial light.

Each LED tube provides 30° beam spread, creating focused downlighting without glare.

Calculate based on staircase length/height:

  • 4 lights per 8' of stair run
  • 6-8 lights per floor height
  • Allow 15-20% extra for visual balance

Match the count to ceiling height: 6-8 Lights for single-story wells up to 14 ft (4.3m), 10-18 Lights for two-story wells of 16-20 ft (4.9-6.1m), 22-25 Lights for 20-24 ft (6.1-7.3m), and 30 Lights for atriums over 24 ft (7.3m).

Yes. Choose 3 to 8 Lights at about two-thirds of the table diameter, set the tubes to a shallow stagger, and keep the lowest tube 30-36" (76-91cm) above the tabletop.

Exactly the coverage we needed

We went back and forth between two sizes for our living room. Sent the room dimensions in and got a straight answer the same day. Installed on a standard 9-foot ceiling with no issues.

Install went smoothly

Two-storey entryway. Our electrician handled the mounting in about two hours. Packaging was serious - every strand wrapped separately, nothing chipped.

Worth the wait

Shipping took longer than I hoped, but it arrived in the window they quoted and the fixture is a lot of presence. Measure carefully first.

Modern Chandelier replied

Thanks Elena - transit on the larger configurations does run to the back half of our stated window. We show the estimate on every product page so there are no surprises.

The questions we hear most

All FAQs →

How do I know what size to order?

Add your room's length and width in feet — that number read as inches is a good target diameter. A 12 × 14 ft room points to roughly a 26″ fixture. Then check your ceiling height, which decides how far it can drop.

Or skip the maths: send us both figures and we will name the exact fixture and size that fits. It is free, it takes a day, and there is no obligation to buy. The size and fit guide covers every rule we work to.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are processed in 2–7 business days, then standard shipping runs 7–20 business days within the US and 7–15 days internationally. Express is 5–11.

Every product page shows an estimate for the size you select, and tracking is sent the moment the fixture ships.

What if it arrives damaged?

Every order ships fully insured, with crystal and glass packed piece by piece in separate compartments.

If something arrives broken, photograph it the day it lands and keep the original carton. We send the replacement part or the whole fixture at our cost — no claim to argue, no return shipping to pay.

Can the drop length be changed?

On adjustable models, yes — and at no extra cost. Send your ceiling height with the order and the suspension is cut before it ships, so your electrician mounts it rather than modifying it on a ladder.

Finish and dimension changes are quoted per project. See customize your light.

Do I need an electrician?

For hardwired fixtures, yes. Mounting hardware and instructions ship with every order; the electrician's time is not included.

One thing worth checking first: a standard US ceiling box supports up to 50 lb. Above that the fixture needs support independent of the box. Every product page lists its weight so your electrician can confirm before the install date.

What is the return policy?

30 days from delivery, unused and in the original packaging. Custom and personalized items are excluded, which is why any custom specification is confirmed in writing before production starts.

A catalogue fixture with a custom drop length is not a custom item — it returns under the normal policy.

Which safety certifications do the fixtures carry?

UL and ETL for the United States and Canada, CE and VDE for Europe, SAA for Australia, plus FCC and ROHS.

Certification documents are available on request for any product — useful if the fixture is going into a permitted job or a commercial space.

Do you work with designers and contractors?

Yes. The trade program covers tiered pricing from 10–25%, priority processing, specification support on plans and elevations, and one account contact across every project.

Applications are reviewed within two business days, and there is no minimum order to apply.

Still deciding?

Send your ceiling height and room dimensions. We will tell you which fixture and size fits — free, with no obligation to buy.
