Installation

• Hardwired, pro install recommended: This fixture is designed for hardwired ceiling mounting. Use a licensed electrician for safe wiring, secure mounting, and clean leveling.
• Support and ceiling prep: Because the design has multiple branching points and crystal accents, install into a properly rated electrical box and use the correct anchors for your ceiling type (drywall with joist, concrete, etc.).
• Set the drop first: Before tightening hardware, decide the final lowest point (based on your room rules) and adjust the chain length to match. Then center the canopy and confirm the fixture is visually balanced from multiple angles.
• Dimming setup: For dimming, pair dimmable G9 bulbs with a compatible LED dimmer switch. If you prefer simple switching only, a standard on-off wall switch works.
• Protect finishes during install: Wear clean gloves and avoid resting tools on the body to prevent scratches or fingerprints on the metal and crystal pieces.

Maintenance

• Power off before cleaning: Turn off the wall switch and, if possible, the breaker before any cleaning or bulb changes.
• Routine dusting: Use a dry microfiber cloth to remove dust from branches and crystal accents. A soft makeup brush works well around small details.
• Crystal cleaning (smudges): Lightly dampen a microfiber cloth with water or a gentle cleaner. Do not spray directly onto the fixture to avoid moisture getting into sockets or connections.
• Metal finish care: Wipe with a soft cloth only. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemicals that can dull or stain the finish.
• Bulb replacement: Use the correct G9 base bulbs. Let bulbs cool fully before removal. If you use LED G9 bulbs, choose quality models to reduce flicker and improve dimming performance.
• Periodic check: Every few months (or after moving/temperature shifts), confirm that the canopy screws and hanging hardware remain snug, especially in high-traffic areas.

1) Choose the right diameter for your space

Use the chandelier’s diameter to match the “visual footprint” of the zone below it.

• Size 1 (27.56 in): Best for smaller dining areas, compact kitchen islands, or standard living rooms where you want a strong focal point without overpowering the room.
• Size 2 (39.37 in): Ideal for medium to large dining tables, larger kitchen islands, and open living spaces where the fixture needs to read clearly across the room.
• Size 3 (47.24 in): Designed for big-volume rooms, wide dining zones, oversized islands, and tall foyers where you want major presence and layered sparkle.

Practical spacing tip: Keep the chandelier visually centered over the table or island. If it is above a dining table, try to leave roughly 6 to 12 in of breathing room from the table edges to the outermost branches.

2) Hanging height rules by room

Set the lowest point first, then adjust the chain so the silhouette feels intentional.

• Dining room (over a table): Hang the lowest point about 30 to 36 in above the tabletop. If ceilings are taller than average, stay within this range first, then adjust slightly upward only if sightlines feel tight.
• Kitchen island: Aim for 30 to 36 in above the countertop. If you use multiple pendants, keep consistent spacing and align heights for a clean line.
• Living room (over a coffee table or seating): Target the lowest point around 6.5 to 7.5 ft from the floor. If the chandelier is near a walkway, go higher to protect head clearance.
• Foyer or entryway (standard height): A common rule is to keep the lowest point at least 7 ft above the floor. If the entry is tall, many homes look balanced when the lowest point lands around 9 to 12 ft, depending on sightlines and door swing.
• Two-story foyer or stairwell: Maintain at least 7 ft clearance over any walking path and stair tread line. For dramatic volume, designers often center the chandelier in the open void so it is visible from both levels.

3) Dimming and bulb selection

Alaric uses replaceable G9 bulbs, so you can tune brightness and warmth based on bulb choice.

• For smooth dimming, use dimmable G9 bulbs and a compatible LED dimmer.
• If you notice flicker, stepping, or limited range, switching to a higher-quality LED dimmer typically fixes it.

4) Finish coordination

Because Alaric has crystal accents, your finish choice affects the overall mood:

• Gold tones read warmer and pair well with brass hardware, warm woods, and creamy wall colors.
• Darker finishes feel more modern and contrast nicely with light walls and stone surfaces.
