• Installation: Hardwired. Licensed electrician recommended. Mount the canopy to a junction box rated for the fixture weight; feather fixtures are light, so a standard box usually suffices.
• Wire adjustment: The 47.2" (120cm) wire adjusts at the canopy and can be shortened on site.
• Lighting: E27 LED bulbs, 3 to 10 by size; replace with E27 LEDs of the same wattage and color temperature.
• Cleaning: Power off at the breaker. Remove dust with a hairdryer on the cool setting from a distance, or a soft feather duster; never use water or sprays on the feathers.
• Checkups: Fluff the feathers and check the canopy fixing a few times a year.

Glade comes in five diameters with a low, flattened profile, so choose by room size and the table or bed beneath it, then set the wire and pick the feather color and light tone. The feathers diffuse the bulbs completely, so the fixture gives soft ambient light rather than sharp task light.

Feather color guide:

• Bulb choice: E27 LED, 7-9W; keep the same wattage and color temperature in every socket, and use LED only to keep heat low near the feathers.

By placement:

• Bedroom: Centered on the room or over the foot of the bed; the low profile keeps clearance on 8 ft ceilings.
• Nursery / kids' room: The D15.7" (40cm) or D19.7" (50cm) out of reach, centered on the room.
• Living room: The D27.6" (70cm) or D31.5" (80cm) centered on the room or over a coffee table.
• Dining room: Centered over a round table, sized to about two-thirds of the table width.
• Retail space: Several fixtures in a row or cluster over display areas.
• Sloped ceiling: All sizes mount on angled ceilings; the wire hangs vertically.

Hanging height rules by room (practical)

• Dining table: Set the lowest feathers 30-36" (76-91cm) above the tabletop with an 8 ft ceiling; add 3" (7.6cm) per additional foot of ceiling height.
• Bedroom / living room: Keep the lowest feathers at least 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless the fixture hangs over a table or bed corner.
• Nursery: Hang well above reach of cribs and furniture that a child could climb.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

• Drop calculation: The fixture is only 5.1"-8.7" (13-22cm) tall; add the wire you keep, up to 47.2" (120cm). On an 8 ft (2.4m) ceiling in a walkway, keep the wire short.
• Humidity: Feathers absorb moisture and lose shape; avoid bathrooms, kitchens over the stove, and damp spaces.
• Air movement: Feathers move in drafts; a gentle sway suits the design, but keep the fixture 3 ft (0.9m) from HVAC vents to avoid dust buildup.
• Fluffing: Feathers compress in shipping; fluff them by hand after unpacking before installation.
• Natural variation: Each feather differs slightly in shape and shade; this is part of the natural material.
