• Foyer / entryway: The D80 4-Layer's wide, low profile suits single-story entries; the D90 6-Layer fills larger 10-12 ft (3-3.7m) ceiling foyers.

• Living room / bedroom: Keep the lowest point 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas; above coffee tables or the foot of a bed, 6.5-7.5 ft (2-2.3m) works well.
• Foyer: Maintain at least 7 ft (2.13m) of floor clearance; in two-story entries, center the fixture in the open volume and check the upstairs view.
• Staircase: Keep 7 ft (2.13m) clearance above steps and handrail lines; the D75 7-Layer's slim form hangs freely in the stair void.
