Tara keeps the same 118.1" (300cm) spiral height across every size and scales in diameter and output, so ceiling height confirms the fixture fits and the width of the stairwell or foyer opening sets the diameter. Every size exceeds 12,000 lumens, so all versions serve as the only light in their space; choose the remote variant if you want to dim.

Size guide (which diameter do you need):

• D31.5" (80cm), 12,200-13,500 lumens: Stairwells and foyers with openings about 8 ft (2.4m) wide and 17-20 ft (5.2-6.1m) ceilings; rooms of about 270-380 sq ft (25-35 m²).
• D39.4" (100cm), 15,500-17,200 lumens: Two-story foyers and stairwells with openings about 10 ft (3m) wide and 18-22 ft (5.5-6.7m) ceilings; rooms of about 380-485 sq ft (35-45 m²).

Hanging height rules by room (practical)

• Stairwell: Keep the lowest crystal at least 7 ft (2.13m) above the treads beneath it and 6" (15cm) clear of the rail.
• Foyer: Maintain 7 ft (2.13m) of floor clearance; in two-story spaces, position the middle of the spiral near the second-floor line.
• Living room: Keep the lowest crystal 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless it hangs over a table.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

• Drop calculation: Spiral height plus the wire you keep must leave 7 ft (2.13m); with the wire at its shortest, the fixture needs about a 17 ft (5.2m) ceiling, and each extra foot of ceiling allows another 12" (30cm) of wire.
• Width check: Keep the spiral diameter under one-third of the stairwell or foyer opening and 12" (30cm) clear of walls and rails.
• Orientation: Decide which face of the spiral addresses the entry before the electrician sets the canopy; the twist reads strongest from its widest profile.
• Wire plan: The spiral hangs on multiple wires; set them to matching lengths so the form hangs plumb rather than leaning.
