• Installation: Hardwired. Licensed electrician recommended. Mount the canopy to a junction box rated for the fixture weight; the 6 to 8 Circles need a support bracket into ceiling framing and lift access. Two people are needed for all sizes to hold the spiral level during wiring.
• Wire adjustment: Wires adjust at the canopy and can be shortened on site; extended lengths are available at order. Level every coil before energizing.
• Lighting: Integrated LED; no bulbs to replace. Fixed color temperature at order; dimmable version available upon request with an LED-rated dimmer.
• Cleaning: Power off at the breaker. Wipe the ribbon and crystal inlays with a dry microfiber cloth; for smudges, use a lightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive or acidic cleaners on the gold finish. Clean tall installations from a landing or with an extension pole.

Hazel scales in diameter and height together, so the size is set by both ceiling height and the width of the stairwell or foyer opening. Output rises steeply with size, and every version from 4 circles up can serve as the only light in its space.

Light color guide:

• Confirm Warm White or Cool White at order. Warm White suits homes and the gold finish, giving the crystal a champagne glow; Cool White suits hotel lobbies and modern white or grey interiors where the ribbon should read crisp.
• Dimming: Order the dimmable version wherever the fixture is the main light; the larger sizes exceed 20,000 lumens at full output.
• Matching: Keep the spiral at the same color temperature as sconces and recessed lights visible from the staircase.

By placement:

• Curved or spiral staircase: 5 to 8 Circles centered in the open well, with the spiral's direction matched to the stair's turn.
• Straight stairwell: 4 to 6 Circles centered in the well; the spiral reads from both floors regardless of direction.
• Duplex / villa foyer: 6 or 7 Circles centered in the opening; the widening coils read from the entry and the landing.
• High-ceiling entryway: 3 or 4 Circles with the wire shortened for 12-14 ft (3.7-4.3m) ceilings.
• Living room: 3 or 4 Circles over a seating group in double-height rooms of 14 ft+ (4.3m+).

Hanging height rules by room (practical)

• Stairwell: Keep the lowest coil at least 7 ft (2.13m) above the treads it hangs over and 6" (15cm) clear of the rail; the widest top coil sits just below the canopy.
• Foyer: Maintain 7 ft (2.13m) of floor clearance; in two-story spaces, position the middle coil level with the second-floor line.
• Living room / entryway: Keep the lowest coil 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless it hangs over a table.
• Over a table: Set the lowest coil 30-36" (76-91cm) above the tabletop with a 10 ft ceiling; add 3" (7.6cm) per additional foot.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

• Drop calculation: Fixture height plus the wire you keep must leave 7 ft (2.13m) of clearance; on a 16 ft (4.9m) ceiling, the 5 Circles at 78.74" (200cm) with a 12" (30cm) wire leaves about 101" (257cm).
• Width check: The top coil is the widest point; keep it under one-third of the stairwell or foyer opening and 12" (30cm) clear of walls and rails.
• Spiral direction: The ribbon coils in one direction; on a curved stair, order or hang it so the coil follows the rail down.
• Wire plan: The spiral hangs on multiple wires from the canopy; set all wires so each coil stays level, otherwise the ribbon reads as tilted.
• Air movement: The ribbon is light for its size and sways near HVAC vents; keep the canopy 3 ft (0.9m) or more from vents.
