• Installation: Hardwired. Licensed electrician recommended. Mount the canopy to a junction box rated for the fixture weight; feather fixtures are light, but two people help keep plumes undamaged during installation of the larger sizes.

Jack comes in four diameters with the same 23.6" (60cm) height, and output stays soft across all sizes because the plumes diffuse the light. Choose the diameter by visual scale for the room, then the feather color and light tone; in larger rooms, pair it with recessed lighting.

Feather color guide:

• White: Airy and bridal; suits Scandinavian, coastal, and bright glam bedrooms.

Light color guide (warm or cool white):

• Warm White (3000K): A soft golden glow through the plumes that makes the fixture read as a lit cloud; choose it for bedrooms, nurseries, dining rooms, and dressing rooms.
• Cool White (6000K): A crisp, brighter tone that keeps white, grey, and blue plumes true to color; choose it for retail displays and modern bright interiors.
• Bulb choice: E14 LED 4-6W and G9 LED 3-5W; use LED only to keep heat low near the feathers, with the same color temperature in every socket.

By placement:

• Bedroom: Centered on the room or over the foot of the bed.
• Nursery / kids' room: The D23.6" (60cm) or D31.5" (80cm), hung well out of reach.
• Dining room: Centered over a round table, sized to about two-thirds of the table width.
• Living room: The D39.4" (100cm) or D47.2" (120cm) as a soft statement piece.
• Entryway / boutique: The D47.2" (120cm) as a centerpiece in entries with 9 ft+ (2.7m) ceilings.

Hanging height rules by room (practical)

• Dining table: Set the lowest plumes 30-36" (76-91cm) above the tabletop with an 8 ft ceiling; add 3" (7.6cm) per additional foot of ceiling height.
• Bedroom / living room / entryway: Keep the lowest plumes at least 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless the fixture hangs over a table.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

• Drop calculation: The fixture is 23.6" (60cm) tall; add the wire you keep, up to 31.5" (80cm). On an 8 ft (2.4m) ceiling in a walkway, keep the wire very short.
• Humidity: Feathers flatten and discolor in moisture and grease; avoid bathrooms and kitchens.
• Fluffing: Plumes compress in shipping; fluff them by hand or with a hairdryer on cool before installation.
• Air movement: Plumes sway in drafts; keep the fixture 3 ft (0.9m) from HVAC vents to limit dust.
• Natural variation: Each plume differs slightly in length and fullness; this is part of the natural material.
