• Living room: Keep the lowest teardrop 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless it hangs over a table.
• Over a console or table: Set the lowest drop 30-36" (76-91cm) above the surface with a 10 ft ceiling; add 3" (7.6cm) per additional foot.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

• Drop calculation: The listed height is the maximum with wires fully extended; every wire shortens on site and custom lengths are available at order. Each teardrop adds 11" (28cm) below its wire.
• Stagger plan: Cut wires to a descending pattern so the teardrops overlap in view like falling rain; drops at one level read as a flat ring.
• Proportion check: Keep the canopy diameter under one-third of the stairwell or foyer opening width.
• Daylight: Position the fixture where windows reach it; the gold particles catch daylight and read as sparkle even when switched off.
• Air movement: Crystal teardrops on fine wires sway near HVAC vents or open doors; keep the canopy 3 ft (0.9m) or more from vents.
