Installation: Hardwired. Licensed electrician recommended. Mount to a junction box rated for the fixture weight; the 15, 18, and 21 Head versions carry substantial stone weight, so confirm the ceiling framing before installation.

Wire adjustment: Wires adjust at the canopy and can be shortened on site. Set and lock each wire length before attaching the alabaster shades.

Sloped ceiling: The canopy includes a sloped-ceiling mounting option; verify the slope angle with your electrician for canopies Ø15.7" (40cm) and larger.

Lighting: LED compatible. Select the color temperature (3000K / 4000K / 6000K) according to the fixture manual; check the manual for dimmer compatibility before pairing with a dimmer.

Cleaning: Power off at the breaker. Dust alabaster shades with a dry microfiber cloth only; never use water, sprays, or chemical cleaners on the stone, which is porous and stains. Wipe the brass frame with a soft dry cloth.

Checkups: Re-check the canopy fixing and each wire lock one week after installation, then annually.

Norelle scales by head count rather than diameter, so match the number of shades to the size of the space and the vertical height you want to fill. Smaller clusters suit standard ceilings; the 18 and 21 head versions are made for two-story drops.

By placement:

• Bedroom / bedside: The 1 Head with its Ø3.9" (10cm) canopy works as a single pendant beside the bed or in pairs; the 6 Head fills the center of a standard bedroom with an 8-9 ft (2.4-2.7m) ceiling.
• Round dining table: The 6 Head suits tables 42"-48" (107-122cm) across; the 9 Head covers tables 48"-60" (122-152cm). Group the wires at staggered lengths so the cluster reads as one fixture over the table.
• Living room: The 9 or 12 Head anchors seating areas in rooms 14' × 16' (4.3 × 4.9m) or larger with 9-10 ft (2.7-3m) ceilings; the Ø11.8" (30cm) canopy of the 12 Head carries a fuller spread.
• Entryway / single-story foyer: The 12 Head with 78.7" (200cm) of adjustable drop suits entries with 10-12 ft (3-3.7m) ceilings.
• Two-story foyer: The 15 Head (Ø15.7"/40cm canopy, 78.7"/200cm drop) fills 14-16 ft (4.3-4.9m) openings; the 18 Head with 118.1" (300cm) of drop reaches into 18-20 ft (5.5-6.1m) volumes.

• High ceilings (12 ft+ / 3.7m+): Any size from 12 Head up; stagger the wires so the lowest shade lands 7 ft (2.13m) above the floor and the highest sits near the top third of the room.

Hanging height rules by room (practical)

• Round dining table: Set the lowest shade 30-36" (76-91cm) above the tabletop with an 8 ft ceiling; add 3" (7.6cm) per additional foot of ceiling height.
• Bedroom: Keep the lowest shade at least 7 ft (2.13m) above the floor; for bedside pendants, 24"-30" (61-76cm) above the nightstand.
• Living room: Hold the lowest shade 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless it hangs over a coffee table.
• Foyer / staircase: Maintain 7 ft (2.13m) floor clearance and at least 6" (15cm) between any shade and the stair rail; in two-story spaces, center the cluster vertically on the second-floor line.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

• Drop calculation: Each shade hangs on its own adjustable wire, so the total drop equals your longest wire plus the shade height. Cut wires to a staggered pattern before installation rather than one uniform length.
• Proportion check: For a round table, keep the cluster's spread at about two-thirds of the table diameter; for a stairwell, keep the canopy diameter under one-third of the opening width.
• Sloped ceiling: The canopy mounts on sloped ceilings, but wires hang straight down; position the canopy so the cluster centers over the intended spot, not the canopy itself.
• Color temperature: Use 3000K warm for bedrooms, dining, and evenings, 4000K neutral for living rooms and foyers, and 6000K white only where you want a crisp, gallery-like effect.
• Veining: Alabaster is a natural stone; every shade varies in pattern and tone. Slight differences between shades are part of the material, not a defect.
