• Installation: Hardwired. Licensed electrician recommended. Mount the canopy to a junction box rated for the fixture weight and fixed into ceiling framing; Style A's wide frame must hang level, and Style B needs lift access. Two people are needed for both styles.
• Wire adjustment: The 78.7" (200cm) wires adjust at the canopy and can be shortened on site. Set the final length before energizing.
• Lighting: E14 LED bulbs; replace with E14 LEDs of the same wattage and color temperature. Dimmable version available upon request.

Storm comes in two forms of the same chain sculpture: a wide, low spiral that spreads across a ceiling, and a tall, narrow spiral that drops through a well. Choose the style by the shape of the space, then match the chain and frame finishes to the room's metals.

Style guide (which spiral do you need):

• Style A Wide Spiral, W53.5" × H41.3" (136 × 105cm), 5,000-5,600 lumens: Single-story foyers, dining rooms, and living rooms with 10-14 ft (3-4.3m) ceilings; the horizontal sweep covers a table or seating group about 60"-84" (152-213cm) across.
• Style B Vertical Spiral, D13.8" × H78.7" (35 × 200cm), 3,600-4,000 lumens: Stairwells and two-story foyers with 16 ft+ (4.9m+) ceilings, or a narrow entry hall where a slim column reads better than a wide form.

Finish guide (chain and frame):

• Black nickel chain: Dark, gunmetal shimmer; suits modern, industrial, and monochrome interiors; pair with the silver frame.
• Gold chain: The warmest option; suits cream, wood, and marble interiors; pair with the gold frame and brass rails.

By placement:

• Grand foyer: Style A centered in a single-story entry 10' × 12' (3 × 3.7m) and up; Style B centered in a two-story opening so the column reads from the entry and the landing.
• Staircase / stairwell: Style B centered in the open well, hung so the bottom of the spiral sits above the rail line of the upper landing.
• Living room: Style A over a seating group or coffee table; the asymmetric sweep should follow the long axis of the room.
• Dining room: Style A over rectangular tables 60"-84" (152-213cm) with 10 ft+ (3m+) ceilings.

Hanging height rules by room (practical)

• Foyer / stairwell: Keep the lowest chain at least 7 ft (2.13m) above the floor and 6" (15cm) clear of any stair rail; in two-story spaces, position the middle of Style B near the second-floor line.
• Dining table: Set the lowest chain 30-36" (76-91cm) above the tabletop with a 10 ft ceiling; add 3" (7.6cm) per additional foot.
• Living room: Keep the lowest chain 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless it hangs directly over a table.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

• Drop calculation: Fixture height is 41.3" (105cm) for Style A or 78.7" (200cm) for Style B; add the wire you keep. Style A needs 10 ft (3m) of ceiling over a table; Style B needs 16 ft (4.9m) over open floor.
• Orientation: Style A is asymmetric and spans 53.5" (136cm); decide the sweep direction before the electrician sets the canopy.
• Width check: Keep Style A 12" (30cm) clear of walls and ceiling fans; keep Style B's 13.8" (35cm) column 12" (30cm) clear of rails.
• Shadow play: Position the fixture near a plain wall or ceiling; the chain curtain casts moving shadows that busy surfaces hide.
• Air movement: Fine chains move visibly in a draft; a slight sway suits the design, but keep the fixture 3 ft (0.9m) or more from HVAC vents to avoid tangling.
