Finish guide (black or gold):

Hanging height rules by room (practical)

• Stairwell: Keep the lowest ring at least 7 ft (2.13m) above the treads it hangs over and 6" (15cm) clear of the rail; set the largest ring near the top third of the well.
• Foyer: Maintain 7 ft (2.13m) of floor clearance; in two-story spaces, position the middle ring level with the second-floor line.
• Living room: Keep the lowest ring 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless it hangs over a table.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

• Drop calculation: The listed wire is the maximum; every ring's wires shorten on site, so the stack compresses or spreads to suit the ceiling.
• Ring order: Hang the rings in ascending diameter from bottom to top; on the 8 Rings, place the two 39.4" (100cm) rings at the top with a wider gap between them.
• Spacing: Keep an even gap between rings, 8"-16" (20-40cm) depending on ceiling height; uneven gaps read as a mistake rather than a design.
• Proportion check: Keep the 39.4" (100cm) largest ring under one-third of the stairwell or foyer opening width.
• Level check: Each ring hangs on multiple wires that must be equal; a tilted ring is the most visible installation error on a halo fixture.
