Installation: Hardwired. Licensed electrician recommended. Mount to a junction box rated for the fixture weight; the L180 and L200 need a level canopy across the full width to hang straight, and two people to hold the branch during wiring.

Wire adjustment: The 59.06" (150cm) wires adjust at the canopy and can be shortened on site. Set all three wires to matching lengths before attaching crystal accents. Request longer wires before ordering for ceilings over 12 ft (3.7m).

Sloped ceiling: The canopy includes a sloped-ceiling mounting option; verify the slope angle with your electrician for the L180 and L200.

Lighting: Dimmable G9 LED bulbs. Pair with a dimmer rated for LED loads for full brightness control.

Cleaning: Power off at the breaker. Dust crystal accents and brass branches with a dry microfiber cloth or soft brush; for smudges on crystal, use a lightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive or acidic cleaners on brass, which can change the finish.

Checkups: Re-check the canopy fixing, wire locks, and crystal accent seating one week after installation, then annually.

Sylvara is a linear fixture in four lengths, so match the length to the table, island, or floor area beneath it first, then set the wire length to your ceiling. All sizes share the same 15.75" (40cm) height; the three longer sizes are wider at 23.62" (60cm).

By placement:

• Rectangular dining table: The L120 (47.24"/120cm) suits tables 60"-72" (152-183cm) long; the L150 (59.06"/150cm) covers 72"-90" (183-229cm); the L180 (70.87"/180cm) spans 90"-108" (229-274cm) tables seating 10-12.
• Kitchen island: The L150 fits islands 84"-96" (213-244cm) long; the L180 and L200 (78.74"/200cm) suit oversized islands of 108"-120" (274-305cm), keeping about 12" (30cm) of counter clear at each end.
• Living room: The L150 or L180 hangs over a coffee table or sofa grouping in rooms 14' × 18' (4.3 × 5.5m) or larger; the horizontal branch stretches the visual width of the seating zone.
• Foyer / entryway: The L120 suits single-story entries with 9-10 ft (2.7-3m) ceilings; the L150 fills wider foyers with a console or round table beneath. Order longer wires for two-story openings.
• Farmhouse dining / kitchen: The L150 over a farmhouse table 84"-96" (213-244cm) long; pair the antique brass finish with wood and white surfaces.
• Commercial spaces (restaurants, lobbies, reception): The L200 over communal tables or reception counters 120"+ (305cm+); multiple units in a row keep even light along long spaces. Request extended wires for ceilings over 12 ft (3.7m).

Hanging height rules by room (practical)

• Dining table: Set the lowest crystal 30-36" (76-91cm) above the tabletop with an 8 ft ceiling; add 3" (7.6cm) per additional foot of ceiling height.
• Kitchen island: Position 32-38" (81-97cm) above the countertop so the branches stay clear of sightlines while seated or standing.
• Living room / foyer: Keep the lowest point at least 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless it hangs directly over a table.
• Commercial spaces: Hold at least 7 ft (2.13m) of clearance over circulation paths; over fixed tables, use the dining table rule.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

• Drop calculation: Fixture height is 15.75" (40cm); add your chosen wire length. On an 8 ft (2.4m) ceiling, shorten the wire to 6"-10" (15-25cm) so the branches clear a table at 30"+ (76cm).
• Proportion check: Aim for a fixture length of about two-thirds of the table or island length; the width should not exceed the table width minus 12" (30cm) on each side.
• Canopy alignment: The rectangular canopy carries three wires; confirm the junction box sits directly above the midpoint of the table or island so the branch hangs level.
• Sloped ceiling: The canopy mounts on sloped ceilings, but the wires hang straight down; position the canopy so the fixture centers over the intended spot, not the canopy itself.
• Handmade variation: Every brass branch is shaped by hand; small differences in branch angle and crystal placement between pieces are part of the craft, not a defect.
• Custom colors: Brass tone and crystal color can be customized; confirm finish samples before ordering so the fixture matches your hardware and metal accents.
