• Installation: Hardwired. Licensed electrician required. Mount the canopy to a junction box or support bracket rated for the fixture weight and fixed into ceiling framing; all sizes need scaffold or lift access and two or more people to raise and set the spiral.

Thea scales in diameter, height, and output together, so ceiling height sets the drop and the width of the stairwell or foyer opening sets the diameter. Every size exceeds 12,000 lumens, so all versions serve as the only light in their space; add the remote option to control brightness.

Light color guide:

• Confirm Warm White or Cool White at order. Warm White softens the chrome and gives the crystal a champagne glow for homes; Cool White maximizes sparkle and suits hotel lobbies and modern white, grey, or marble interiors.
• Dimming: Choose the remote control option for residential foyers and living rooms, since output is high at every size; it dims from the remote without a wall dimmer.
• Matching: Keep the spiral at the same color temperature as sconces and recessed lights visible from the staircase.

By placement:

• Curved or spiral staircase: Center the canopy in the open well so the spiral follows the stair's turn; the D23.6" (60cm) or D31.5" (80cm) for most residential wells.
• Straight stairwell: Center the spiral in the well, clear of the treads and rail; it reads from both floors regardless of stair direction.
• Two-story foyer: The D31.5" (80cm) or D39.4" (100cm) centered in the opening so the curve reads from the entry and the landing.
• High-ceiling living room: The D23.6" (60cm) over a seating group in double-height rooms, with the height shortened to suit the ceiling.
• Hotel lobbies / atriums: The D47.2" (120cm) as a centerpiece.
• Sloped ceiling: All sizes mount on angled ceilings; the wires hang vertically.

Hanging height rules by room (practical)

• Stairwell: Keep the lowest crystal at least 7 ft (2.13m) above the treads beneath it and 6" (15cm) clear of the rail.
• Foyer: Maintain 7 ft (2.13m) of floor clearance; in two-story spaces, position the middle of the spiral near the second-floor line.
• Living room: Keep the lowest crystal 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless it hangs over a table.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

• Drop calculation: The listed height is the maximum with wires fully extended; the wires shorten on site and custom heights are available on request. Ceiling height minus the final drop must leave 7 ft (2.13m).
• Width check: Keep the spiral diameter under one-third of the stairwell or foyer opening and 12" (30cm) clear of walls and rails.
• Spiral direction: On a curved stair, confirm the spiral runs the same way as the stair's turn before the canopy is set.
• Wire plan: The spiral hangs on multiple wires; set them so the bands descend smoothly without kinks or a leaning profile.
• Air movement: A tall suspended form sways near HVAC vents or open doors; keep the canopy 3 ft (0.9m) or more from vents.
