General Specifications:

  • Light Source: G4 LED Bulbs (3W per bulb)
  • Bulbs Included: Yes
  • Dimmable: Upon request
  • Body Material: Stainless Steel
  • Shade Material: Glass Spheres
  • Installation Type: Cord Pendant
  • Style: Modern
  • Fixture Type: Chandelier, Pendant Light
  • Warranty: 2 Years
  • Certifications: UL, cUL, CSA, ETL, CE, UKCA, RCM, SAA, FCC, CCC, CQC, EMC, GS, LVD, PSE, RoHS, VDE
  • Installation: Hardwired. Licensed electrician recommended. Mount the canopy to a junction box rated for the fixture weight; the 25 and 30-light versions carry substantial glass and need a support bracket into ceiling framing plus lift access. Two people are needed for clusters of 12 lights and up.
  • Wire adjustment: Each wire adjusts at the canopy and can be shortened on site. Set and lock every wire before attaching the globes.
  • Lighting: 3W G4 LED bulbs included, one per globe; replace with LED G4 of the same wattage and color temperature. Dimmable version available upon request with an LED-rated dimmer.
  • Cleaning: Power off at the breaker. Wipe the glass spheres with a dry microfiber cloth; for smudges, use a lightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Wipe the canopy with a soft dry cloth; avoid abrasive or acidic cleaners on plated finishes. Clean tall installations from a landing or with an extension pole.
  • Checkups: Re-check the canopy fixing, each wire lock, and globe seating one week after installation, then annually.

Tia scales by globe count, canopy diameter, and drop length, so ceiling height sets the drop, opening width sets the canopy, and room area sets the number of globes. The cognac glass softens the light, so the fixture reads as a warm ambient glow; larger foyers use the higher counts as the main light.

Light count guide (how many globes do you need):

  • 5 Lights, 11.8" (30cm) canopy, 59.1" (150cm) drop, 1,350-1,500 lumens: Round tables 36"-42" (91-107cm), bedside clusters, and small entryways with 9-10 ft (2.7-3m) ceilings; accent lighting.
  • 8 Lights, 15.7" (40cm) canopy, 70.9" (180cm) drop, 2,200-2,400 lumens: Round tables 42"-54" (107-137cm), entryways, and living rooms with 10-12 ft (3-3.7m) ceilings.
  • 10 or 12 Lights, 15.7" (40cm) canopy, 78.7" (200cm) drop, 2,700-3,600 lumens: Single-story stairwells and living rooms with 12-14 ft (3.7-4.3m) ceilings; choose 12 for a fuller cluster.
  • 15 Lights, 23.6" (60cm) canopy, 98.4" (250cm) drop, 4,100-4,500 lumens: Two-story stairwells 4-6 ft (1.2-1.8m) wide with 14-18 ft (4.3-5.5m) ceilings.
  • 19 Lights, 23.6" (60cm) canopy, 118.1" (300cm) drop, 5,100-5,700 lumens: Two-story foyers 8' × 8' (2.4 × 2.4m) with 18-20 ft (5.5-6.1m) ceilings.
  • 25 or 30 Lights, 31.5" (80cm) canopy, 157.5" (400cm) drop, 6,800-9,000 lumens: Foyers 10' × 10' (3 × 3m), villa entrance halls, and stairwells 6 ft+ (1.8m+) wide with 20 ft+ (6.1m+) ceilings; choose 30 for a denser cascade.

Finish guide (gold or silver):

  • Gold: Matches the warm cognac glass for an all-warm fixture; suits cream, wood, and marble interiors with brass rails.
  • Silver: Cool hardware that contrasts with the amber globes; suits grey, white, and contemporary interiors with chrome or steel fittings.

Light color guide (which color temperature to choose):

  • Warm White (3000K): Deepens the cognac tone into a candlelit amber glow; the choice for homes, dining rooms, and living rooms.
  • Cool White (6000K): Brightens the glass to a lighter honey tone with crisper output; suits stairwells and modern interiors where visibility matters.
  • Matching: Keep the globes at the same color temperature as sconces and recessed lights visible from the staircase.
  • Dimming: Order the dimmable version for dining rooms and living rooms, and pair it with an LED-rated dimmer.

By placement:

  • Staircase / stairwell: 12 to 30 Lights centered in the open well, globes staggered in a descending spiral that follows the stair's rise.
  • Two-story foyer: 19 to 30 Lights centered in the opening so the globes read from the entry and the landing.
  • High-ceiling living room: 10 to 15 Lights over a seating group in double-height rooms of 12 ft+ (3.7m+).
  • Round dining table: 5 or 8 Lights at a shallow stagger, sized to about two-thirds of the table diameter.
  • Entryway (single-story): 5 or 8 Lights with the wires shortened for 9-12 ft (2.7-3.7m) ceilings.
  • Sloped ceiling: All sizes mount on angled ceilings; the wires hang vertically.

Hanging height rules by room (practical)

  • Stairwell: Keep the lowest globe at least 7 ft (2.13m) above the treads it hangs over and 6" (15cm) clear of the rail; set the highest globes near the top third of the well.
  • Foyer: Maintain 7 ft (2.13m) of floor clearance; in two-story spaces, spread the globes so the cascade's center sits level with the second-floor line.
  • Dining table: Set the lowest globe 30-36" (76-91cm) above the tabletop with an 8 ft ceiling; add 3" (7.6cm) per additional foot.
  • Living room: Keep the lowest globe 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless it hangs over a table.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

  • Drop calculation: The listed height is the maximum with wires fully extended; every wire shortens on site. Each globe adds 5.9" (15cm) below its wire.
  • Stagger plan: Set the globes at staggered heights so they overlap in view; globes at one level read as a flat ring rather than a cascade.
  • Brightness planning: Cognac glass absorbs some light; in a large foyer, choose the higher count or add wall sconces rather than relying on a small cluster.
  • Handmade variation: Each sphere is handcrafted, so tint depth and texture vary slightly from globe to globe; this is part of the material, not a defect.
  • Air movement: Glass globes on fine wires sway near HVAC vents or open doors; keep the canopy 3 ft (0.9m) or more from vents.

Gold adds warmth to the cognac glass, creating amber tones. Silver offers cooler reflections and modern contrast. Both finishes visible day/night.

Yes, each cognac glass globe detaches independently. Match exact size/texture when ordering replacements.

Use non-abrasive glass cleaner, microfiber cloth. Clean cool globes only. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage texture.

Wire lengths are fixed for optimal light distribution. Heights create intentional cascade pattern.

9 feet minimum for 5-ball model. Add 1 foot per 5 additional globes. Allow walking clearance below.

Match the count to ceiling height: 10-12 Lights for single-story wells up to 14 ft (4.3m), 15 Lights for two-story wells of 14-18 ft (4.3-5.5m), 19 Lights for foyers of 18-20 ft (5.5-6.1m), and 25-30 Lights for halls over 20 ft (6.1m).

Exactly the coverage we needed

We went back and forth between two sizes for our living room. Sent the room dimensions in and got a straight answer the same day. Installed on a standard 9-foot ceiling with no issues.

Install went smoothly

Two-storey entryway. Our electrician handled the mounting in about two hours. Packaging was serious - every strand wrapped separately, nothing chipped.

Worth the wait

Shipping took longer than I hoped, but it arrived in the window they quoted and the fixture is a lot of presence. Measure carefully first.

Modern Chandelier replied

Thanks Elena - transit on the larger configurations does run to the back half of our stated window. We show the estimate on every product page so there are no surprises.

The questions we hear most

All FAQs →

How do I know what size to order?

Add your room's length and width in feet — that number read as inches is a good target diameter. A 12 × 14 ft room points to roughly a 26″ fixture. Then check your ceiling height, which decides how far it can drop.

Or skip the maths: send us both figures and we will name the exact fixture and size that fits. It is free, it takes a day, and there is no obligation to buy. The size and fit guide covers every rule we work to.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are processed in 2–7 business days, then standard shipping runs 7–20 business days within the US and 7–15 days internationally. Express is 5–11.

Every product page shows an estimate for the size you select, and tracking is sent the moment the fixture ships.

What if it arrives damaged?

Every order ships fully insured, with crystal and glass packed piece by piece in separate compartments.

If something arrives broken, photograph it the day it lands and keep the original carton. We send the replacement part or the whole fixture at our cost — no claim to argue, no return shipping to pay.

Can the drop length be changed?

On adjustable models, yes — and at no extra cost. Send your ceiling height with the order and the suspension is cut before it ships, so your electrician mounts it rather than modifying it on a ladder.

Finish and dimension changes are quoted per project. See customize your light.

Do I need an electrician?

For hardwired fixtures, yes. Mounting hardware and instructions ship with every order; the electrician's time is not included.

One thing worth checking first: a standard US ceiling box supports up to 50 lb. Above that the fixture needs support independent of the box. Every product page lists its weight so your electrician can confirm before the install date.

What is the return policy?

30 days from delivery, unused and in the original packaging. Custom and personalized items are excluded, which is why any custom specification is confirmed in writing before production starts.

A catalogue fixture with a custom drop length is not a custom item — it returns under the normal policy.

Which safety certifications do the fixtures carry?

UL and ETL for the United States and Canada, CE and VDE for Europe, SAA for Australia, plus FCC and ROHS.

Certification documents are available on request for any product — useful if the fixture is going into a permitted job or a commercial space.

Do you work with designers and contractors?

Yes. The trade program covers tiered pricing from 10–25%, priority processing, specification support on plans and elevations, and one account contact across every project.

Applications are reviewed within two business days, and there is no minimum order to apply.

Still deciding?

Send your ceiling height and room dimensions. We will tell you which fixture and size fits — free, with no obligation to buy.
