Installation: Hardwired. Licensed electrician required. Mount to a metal junction box or support bracket rated for at least 100 lbs (45kg), fixed into ceiling framing; the Linear model needs a level canopy across its full 23.6" (60cm) length to hang straight. Two people are needed to lift and hold the fixture during wiring.

Chain adjustment: The chain shortens on site by removing links with pliers; set the final length before hanging the glass rods.

Lighting: E12 bulbs included (13 Round / 16 Linear). Compatible with other E12 bulbs; check bulb packaging for dimmer compatibility before pairing with a dimmer.

Cleaning: Power off at the breaker. Dust the glass rods with a dry microfiber cloth or a soft brush; for smudges, use a lightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Wipe the brass frame with a soft dry cloth only; avoid abrasive or acidic cleaners.

Checkups: Re-check the ceiling fixing, chain links, and each glass rod's hook one week after installation, then annually.

Zarelle comes in a round and a linear version. Start with the room shape: round for square rooms, open volumes, and stairwells; linear for anything with a long table or counter underneath. Then check ceiling height, because both models are heavy and hang on a chain that can be shortened on site.

By placement:

• Foyer / entryway: The 34" (86.4cm) Round fills single-story entries 10' × 10' (3 × 3m) and up. With 87" (221cm) of adjustable height, it also drops well into two-story foyers with 16-20 ft (4.9-6.1m) ceilings.
• Staircase / two-story landing: Hang the 34" (86.4cm) Round in the open stairwell so the tiered rods are visible from both floors. Use the full chain length on tall stairwells and center the fixture in the open volume, not over the stair treads.
• Living room: The 34" (86.4cm) Round anchors seating areas in rooms 14' × 16' (4.3 × 4.9m) or larger with 9 ft+ (2.7m) ceilings; the tiered glass reads as the focal point of the room.
• Bedroom: The 34" (86.4cm) Round works in primary suites with 9 ft+ (2.7m) ceilings; shorten the chain so the fixture holds at least 7 ft (2.13m) above the floor at the foot of the bed.

Hanging height rules by room (practical)

• Dining table: Set the lowest glass rod 30-36" (76-91cm) above the tabletop with an 8 ft ceiling; add 3" (7.6cm) per additional foot of ceiling height.
• Kitchen island: Position 32-38" (81-97cm) above the countertop to keep sightlines clear while seated or standing.
• Foyer / staircase: Keep the lowest point at least 7 ft (2.13m) above the floor and 6" (15cm) or more clear of any stair rail; in two-story foyers, hang the fixture so its center sits roughly level with the second-floor line.
• Living room / bedroom: Hold the lowest rod at least 7 ft (2.13m) above walking areas unless it hangs directly over a table.

Placement tips that prevent common mistakes

• Drop calculation: Fixture height is 16" (40.6cm) Round or 17" (43.2cm) Linear; add the chain length you keep. On an 8 ft (2.4m) ceiling, shorten the chain to about 6"-10" (15-25cm) so the fixture clears 7 ft (2.13m).
• Weight check: Both models weigh over 90 lbs (42-45kg). Confirm the junction box and ceiling framing are rated for this load before ordering; standard plastic boxes are not sufficient.
• Proportion check: For round, choose a diameter about two-thirds of the table or seating-area width; for linear, about two-thirds of the table or island length.
• Ceiling fixing: The Linear model's 23.6" (60cm) canopy usually needs a ceiling-mounted support bar or blocking between joists to spread the load.
• Bulb choice: E12 bulbs are included; use warm white 2700K bulbs to bring out the amber tone, and avoid cool white, which flattens the glass color.
